Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Abdomen Wax.

An abdomen wax at Catalia typically takes 10-20 minutes depending on hair amount and skin sensitivity. Our technicians work efficiently to ensure comfort, and include post-wax soothing to minimize irritation and redness.

Exfoliate gently 48 hours before and avoid heavy lotions or oils on treatment day. Hair should be about a quarter inch long. Arrive clean and wear comfortable clothing to minimize friction after your session.

Some discomfort is normal, especially on the first treatment, but our licensed estheticians use quick techniques, quality waxes, and numbing options when appropriate. Many clients report sensations subside with subsequent sessions as hair thins.

Most clients notice regrowth after three to six weeks depending on individual hair cycles. Regular waxing can extend periods between sessions and often produces finer, less noticeable regrowth over time.

Avoid waxing if you have open wounds, severe sunburn, active skin infections, recent chemical peels, or are using certain retinoids. Inform our staff about medications, pregnancy, or medical conditions prior to treatment.

Apply soothing lotion or aloe gel, avoid hot baths, saunas, and heavy exercise for 24 hours. Exfoliate gently after 48-72 hours to prevent ingrown hairs and schedule follow-up waxing as needed.
