Get answers to common questions about Chin Wax.
Most clients enjoy smooth results for about three to six weeks, depending on individual hair growth. Regular waxing appointments every four to six weeks help maintain a clean chin and may reduce hair density over time.
Waxing causes momentary discomfort similar to other facial waxing. Our technicians use gentle wax, proper skin preparation, and calming aftercare to minimize pain. Numbing is rarely necessary, but we can discuss options for very sensitive clients.
Avoid heavy exfoliation immediately before the appointment; let hair be about 1/4 inch long. Do not shave between appointments. Arrive with clean, product-free skin and inform us of any recent facial treatments or medications.
Temporary redness or small bumps can occur but usually resolve within a day or two. We use soothing products and offer aftercare instructions to reduce irritation. If you have severe acne or skin conditions, consult us before waxing.
Certain medications and recent skin treatments can increase sensitivity. Tell us about retinoids, Accutane, chemical peels, or laser procedures. We may postpone service, perform a patch test, or recommend alternative hair removal for your safety.
Avoid hot showers, saunas, and heavy exercise for 24 hours. Use gentle cleansers and a calming moisturizer or aloe. Exfoliate lightly after 48 hours to prevent ingrowns, and schedule follow-ups every four to six weeks for upkeep.
