Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Hard Wax Brazilian.

Most clients enjoy smooth results for about three to six weeks, depending on individual hair growth, hormones and regular maintenance. Touch-ups vary; your esthetician will recommend an ideal schedule based on your regrowth pattern.

Hard wax is often less painful than soft wax because it adheres to hair rather than the skin. Experienced estheticians use quick techniques and soothing pre- and post-care to minimize discomfort during a Brazilian wax.

Avoid shaving, waxing or depilatories for at least four weeks before your appointment and let hair reach approximately 1/4 inch. Avoid strong topical retinoids or exfoliation 48 hours prior, and arrive clean with no oils or lotions.

Aftercare includes avoiding hot baths, saunas and intense exercise for 24 to 48 hours, wearing breathable clothing, and applying a gentle, fragrance-free soothing gel. Begin gentle exfoliation after 48 to 72 hours to help prevent ingrown hairs.

Certain medications and topical drugs can affect waxing safety. Inform us if you use blood thinners, Accutane, recent antibiotics, or strong retinoids. Your esthetician will advise whether to postpone treatment or consult your physician first.

Most clients schedule maintenance every four to six weeks, depending on personal hair growth and comfort. Over time, regular waxing often softens regrowth and can lengthen intervals; your esthetician will recommend the best timing.
